As we age, the collagen and elastin contained in the skin begin to diminish and our skin loses tone and elasticity, resulting in visible sagging. Ulthera is a non-invasive, non-surgical, high-precision lifting method that redefines contours in a single session by reactivating natural collagen and elastin production.
Treatment
Ulthera specifically stimulates collagen by delivering ultrasound into the skin to renew skin structure from the inside out. To help stop the signs of ageing, smooth and re-drap the skin, facial areas such as eyelids, ovals, neck or décolleté can be treated safely, effectively and easily without social exclusion. Body parts such as buttocks, knees, elbows, arms and thighs can also benefit from this treatment.
Result
The immediate results continue to improve within 3-4 months of treatment. The effect can be seen in a younger appearance, firmer skin and more defined contours. Depending on age and skin quality, this session can be repeated after one to two years.
Duration
A session lasts 30 to 90 minutes, depending on the areas to be treated. The ultrasound energy penetrates the surface of the skin to stimulate fibroblasts (skin cells) to produce collagen at different levels, smoothing and lifting the skin. The technique works at the same depth normally targeted in a surgical facelift. An immediate improvement can be observed after a single session (beauty effect).
